一、给写作留有充分的时间

二、认真审题，先打草稿
写之前一定要认真阅读写作要求，切忌见题就写。中考作文主要有两种类型：提示作文和看图作文。提示作文一般已经给出要点，而看图作文则需根据图画及提示在很短的时间内将要点列出。把要点列出后，在草稿纸上写提纲，打草稿，就可以看出大概有多少字。在正式往试卷上写之前，根据题目要求适当增减内容，保持卷面整洁。
三、正确使用标点
学生在初中学习阶段，对标点符号的用法极不重视，因此，考试中明显的标点错误屡有发生，在一定程度上影响学生的成绩。另外，大小写错误也常有发生。有的甚至一篇文章从头到尾没有一个大写字母，再加上标点不正确，让人看了不知所云，以致直接影响考试成绩。
